Italy, Germany, Spain... Discover how I got where I am today
Hello! I’m Giovanni, a translator and interpreter working with Italian, Spanish, German, English and French. It all started in Italy, where I discovered a passion for languages at an early age. I went on to study Linguistic and Cultural Mediation at the University of Milan, and then continued my studies at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, Germany, taking a Masters in Conference Interpreting. I then started my career as a freelance Italian translator and interpreter in Germany. I lived in Germany for 12 years, during which time I had the chance to develop a thorough understanding of interpreting and translation in a German-speaking context. That period was crucial for polishing the strategies and knowledge I had acquired during my studies. I also enjoyed stays elsewhere in Europe, highlights including the UK and Norway, which all meant I was able to discover new and exciting realities, and broaden my network of contacts.
